Nashville, Tennessee (January 18, 2011) – Sunny Sweeney’s Republic Nashville five-song EP is available digitally today and has already advanced to #10 on the iTunes Country Album Chart. This preview of her forthcoming full album, slated for release later this Spring, features the rising Top 15 hit, “From A Table Away,” which earned her the highest-charting debut single of a female country artist in the last four years. Sunny co-wrote all of the additional tracks –“Drink Myself Single”, “Amy”, “Staying’s Worse Than Leaving” and “Helluva Heart.”

This Friday, January 21, Sunny will perform some of her new tunes, on WGN Midday. WGN is broadcast in over 200 cities on WGN America. The #1-rated national midday newscast reaches over 75 million households, including New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Phoenix and many others. WGN Midday News begins at Noon ET/ 11 am CT daily. Sunny will perform in the nationally-broadcast Noon-time (CT) hour on Friday’s show (1 pm ET).

Sunny has opened for Country Music icons Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams Jr. and is an Opry favorite, playing more than 20 times since her debut. She recently recorded “Good Hearted Woman” with Jessi Colter for The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, which streets on February 8.
