PCG NASHVILLE ARTISTS
CELEBRATE INCLUSION ON BEST NEW NASHVILLE CD COMPILATION
Presented By Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 28, 2011)— President and founder of PCG Nashville, Bernard Porter is proud to announce the firm has expanded its presence in a nationally recorded music compilation with the inclusion of PCG clients on Teddy Gentry’s BEST NEW NASHVILLE (a Cracker Barrel album release).
The release of BEST NEW NASHVILLE (produced by the award-winning songwriter, producer and founding member of one of the biggest band names in country music, Alabama) has special significance for PCG Nashville; three PCG clients (Samantha Landrum, Adrianna Freeman and Amber Shalene) are among the performers featured on the 12-track album. The specialty collection is the latest exclusive offering from the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® music program.

Laurel, Mississippi’s Samantha Landrum delivers a beautiful performance on the fun, upbeat “I’ll Find You” (written by Wade Kirby, Lee Miller and Aimee Pettersen). Landrum’s love for music began at an early age, performing at her family’s business, Landrum’s Homestead & Village. She pairs her faith along with the influence of great performers like Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, and Martina McBride, into every aspect of her music and career – fortifying her sound and resolve. In 2008, Samantha was the Mississippi state winner at the Colgate Country Showdown. Advancing to the regional competition at Nashville’s Wild Horse Saloon, made the acquaintance of Bernard Porter and began her relationship with PCG Nashville & Porter-Gentry Productions in 2009.

The big, authentic, traditional voice behind track 11, “Run Baby Run” (Scooter Carusoe), belongs to Adrianna Freeman. Freeman, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, gave her first performances at the local farmer’s market and grew up in the echoes of country and gospel church music. Through mission work, she realized the healing and joy her voice could bring to others and chose to pursue a professional music career. In addition to her special appearance on BEST NEW NASHVILLE, Adrianna worked with Teddy Gentry to record her first studio album.

“Are You Ever Gonna Love Me,” the deep and emotional song (track 12) crafted by Aimee Mayo and Chris Lindsey, was recorded by Amber Shalene, a PCG Nashville client since late 2009. A self-proclaimed “Southern gypsy,” Amber offers a dynamic, powerful vocal reminiscent of Wynonna Judd, Bonnie Raitt and Tracy Chapman. Her inspirations range from CCR and Billy Joel to Ray Charles and her mother, Violet, who taught her the value of song and of purpose. Through music, Amber has seen the difference it can make in lives all over the world. Traveling to inspire young hearts everywhere from African orphanages and to sing on the stages of Israel, Europe and South Africa, she shares her gift with the world.

“To see these three young women become part of a national recording project brings our mission to a complete and full circle,” noted PCG’s Bernard Porter. “But, whether our clients walk on stage to take the spotlight or walk away with their decision to pursue ‘Plan B,’ we’ve met with our purpose--to help the young artist make the right decisions for their lifetime.”
