FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GLEN TEMPLETON’S “I COULD BE THE ONE”
ENTERS BILLBOARD INDICATOR CHART WITH CONVICTION
Single To Be Featured On iTunes CMA Fest Sampler
Digital outlets and music industry organizations have also embraced the Templeton tune; after sifting through thousands of submissions from various labels (major and independent), “I Could Be The One” was selected to appear on the official iTunes CMA Fest download sampler (2011). In recent festival years, iTunes street teams have assembled to hand out the download cards during “country music’s biggest week” offering free downloads from the country artists participating in the event. This year 40,000 cards will be distributed over the course of the four-day event. Glen and the other sampler artists will also be featured on a dedicated iTunes page that will highlight GT, his summer CD release, along with “I Could Be The One.”
The track comes from Templeton’s album entitled GT, his first studio recording (from Grammy award-winning producer/engineer Mark Lambert who has also worked on projects with Elton John, Willie Nelson, Ronnie Milsap, Trace Adkins and more) which features special guest performances by Leon Russell.
“The excitement and reaction to my single from the onset has been humbling,” Glen reveals. “Seeing the adds and listener responses has been such a thrill – thanks so much to country radio!”
Country fans who attend CMA Fest come from all over the world and become ambassadors when they return home– calling their local stations and becoming tastemakers for country radio worldwide. Providing music to these influential music enthusiasts will help spread Templeton’s music globally--making the opportunity a homerun for his single, album release, Summer-2011 tour dates and ticket sales.
Since the beginning of the year, Glen has been engaged in an aggressive radio promotion tour that will take him to 48 states.
