BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT SIGNS ARTIST GLEN TEMPLETON

NASHVILLE, TN…(July 18, 2011)…Black River Entertainment COO Gordon Kerr and General Manager, Greg McCarn announced today the signing of artist Glen Templeton to the label’s growing roster.  Black River Entertainment will immediately take over responsibilities for the promotion, marketing, and sales efforts for Glen Templeton.

Kerr states, “I am excited with the addition of Glen to our artist roster. Black River Entertainment remains committed to partnering with artists that demonstrate outstanding musical ability as well as a genuine passion for country music.  We are so pleased to have Glen join our Black River family.”

Templeton’s current single, “I Could Be The One” was released in May of this year and continues to gain momentum at country radio. The music video will make its debut in the coming weeks at both online and TV outlets.

According to Templeton, “After spending a significant amount of time with Gordon and Greg, I knew Black River was the right home for me.  I'm so excited to have such a great group of people around me with the shared vision of taking what we've started and building a long-term career in country music.  I would also like to mention how much I appreciate everyone at Capstone and country radio who have helped me get to this point.”

I Could Be The One” can be found on Templeton’s upcoming self-titled album, which also features a special guest performance by musical legend, Leon Russell. The album, produced by the GRAMMY™ award-winning producer/engineer Mark Lambert (Leon Russell, Elton John, Willie Nelson, and Ronnie Milsap), will be released in the coming months.

Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Templeton spent years cutting his teeth in Nashville’s famous honky tonks while singing for tips on lower Broadway.  Templeton also spent part of his career headlining the house band at the various Cowboy’s Dancehalls in Texas.  In 2008, Glen was hand selected by Conway Twitty’s family to portray the part of Conway in the musical "It's Only Make Believe,"which tells the life story of the country music legend.

Templeton is managed by Capstone Music Group and booked by Paradise Artists. Black River has also secured the services of the Capstone Promotion team, which in conjunction with the management team has been responsible for the impressive launch of Templeton’s “I Could Be The One” to country radio.
