CHRIS YOUNG’S SUMMER IS GOLDEN

Grammy Nominated Performer Celebrates
Gold Album Certification

Nashville, TN...(August 1, 2011)...Chris Young has had one hot summer.  Two weeks ago, his highly acclaimed third album, NEON, opened at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart to sales of more than 72,000 copies. Last week, he scored his fourth consecutive #1 smash with “Tomorrow”.

There’s no sign of cooling down this week as Young’s sophomore album release, The Man I Want To Be, has just been certified GOLD by the RIAA, selling more than 500,000 units.  The smash-packed album was released in September of 2009 and produced 3 chart toppers including “Gettin’ You Home,” “Voices,” and the title track.

NEON’s lead single “Tomorrow,” written by Young with Frank Myers and Anthony Smith, also certified GOLD by the RIAA earlier this summer and is now nearing 650,000 downloads, making it his best-selling digital track to date.

As the momentum continues to intensify, Young gets ready for next single “You” to hit country radio in mid-August.
