Eli Young Band receives their first GOLD plaque for “Crazy Girl”

Crazy Girl,” has been certified gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 downloads.  The single made its debut at #1 on iTunes and has sold an average of 40,000 downloads a week for the last month.  With sales of over 650,000 downloads to date, this week, the song climbs to #18 on Billboard Country Songs Chart and #17 on the USA Today/Country Aircheck powered by Mediabase chart.  This Monday, the band stopped by Republic Nashville to receive their Gold plaques.

“When you walk into a recording studio, you see these gold records on the wall and wonder what it takes to get there,” said bassist Jon Jones. “We’re very lucky “Crazy Girl” is gold. Making a gold record has been one of our goals since we started making music. It’s a dream come true for us!” 

“When the Eli Young Band came to Republic Nashville there were a lot of promises made,” said Scott Borchetta.  “Today, on the eve of the release week for their debut album on Republic Nashville, we get to check one of those promises off…”Crazy Girl” is a Gold single!” He added, “We need more bands like EYB.  Great bands who come about this honestly, hard working, brotherhood, the real stuff.  Always love it when our brothers do good.  On behalf of myself, Jimmy and all at Republic Nashville, well done guys!”
