MARK WILLS SPENDS TIME WITH U.S. WARRIORS IN DOWN TIME

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 24, 2011)--Platinum recording artist Mark Wills performed before Army soldiers and their families at Fort Hood last week at Clear Creek Exchange outside of Killeen, Texas. More than 500 attendees were treated to an acoustic performance followed by a personal meet and greet.

The son of a Vietnam veteran, Wills has made more than seven trips to Iraq and Afghanistan over the course of his career entertaining our troops to become personally acquainted with the faces of our servicemen and women. Although this was his first visit to Ft. Hood, Mark, in just the past few months, has performed before troops at various Army Bases and PX's across the U.S. (including Ft. Campbell/ Kentucky, Ft. Benning/Columbus, GA, Ft. Sam Houston, TX, Fort Bliss/El Paso TX), at the two Air Force bases in San Antonio (Lakeland AFB and Randolph AFB) as well as the wounded warrior facilities located at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Bliss as part of his quest to demonstrate his sentiment of support.

Mark is preparing to introduce his second single from his latest CD (LOOKING FOR AMERICA) entitled "Crazy Being Home," a tribute to our military and the theme song for the USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today program as part of its national awareness campaign surrounding the severity of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Mark has initiated a campaign of his own via CrazyBeingHome.com--a community outreach to encourage and support America’s post-9/11 veterans, assist in raising funds for the PTSD and TBI programs, and to serve as an outlet for those who suffer to share their mutual stories. Reinforcing the evident need for a public discussion outlet, a number of personal accounts appear as postings (both written and recorded video) since the site's launch in May 2011.
