To My Singer/Songwriter/Musician Friends ... Thank You

If it weren't for your contributions to music, my days would be a lot different. I wouldn't have something to take my mind off of the things that go wrong, wouldn't have a "place to go" when I need a mental vacation, wouldn't have anything to tap my foot to, sing in the car or shower with, or be able to do really bad karaoke.

Music is the one real, true, and honest passion that I possess. It's my boyfriend and my soulmate, we understand each other and it doesn't tell me my ass is huge in the new jeans I bought. If it weren't for people like you, we'd all be listening to Britney Spears and other "manufactured" music and I could not bear that and my ears would bleed to death. Thank you also to the radio deejays (we know you have to play what you're told to play so I don't blame you for playing Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood a million times a day...smile) and to anyone involved in the music business.

So, thank you to each and every one of you for making my days better, for making me smile, for giving me words and melodies that evoke emotions when I need them and for everything you do.
