Nashville, Tenn. (Tuesday, September 6, 2011) – If you were to run in to Eric Church today, chances are you'd find him celebrating with a drink in his hand. He’s nominated for the CMA’s Top New Artist Of The Year.

"Though I’ve tried to make my career not just about winning awards, it's always great to be recognized, and I’m especially honored in this case because the CMA voting members are my peers. It's always really rewarding when other people who also do this for a living acknowledge what you’re doing,” said Church.

Seemingly sitting on top of the world right now with his smash No. 1 album debut across all genres, CHIEF, and RIAA Gold® Certified hits “Homeboy,” "Love Your Love The Most," and “Smoke A Little Smoke," Eric has had a year full of hard-earned accomplishments. The CMA Award nomination comes as another chance for him to thank his fans – the people to whom he says are responsible for it all.

"It's quite humbling to have fans take ownership of a record and a career like they have ours. They have been the driving force behind any success or recognition that we have ever received," said Church. "I can't thank them enough for where they have brought us and where we go from here."

Eric’s current single “Drink In My Hand” is currently rising up the country radio charts, and fans can catch him out on the road at upcoming solo shows and on the Locked and Loaded Tour with Toby Keith.
