Nashville, TN - (October 7, 2011) – Throughout the month of October, The McClymonts, after having just wrapped up their U.S. tour, will be hitting the national TV and radio outlets. On the morning of Saturday, October 8, the girls’ recent visit with NPR’s Weekend Edition will air. Next up, the girls take on the Big Apple with visits to Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends Weekend and The Better Show. Their Fox & Friends episode is set to air on October 16 and The Better Showtaping will be broadcast nationally on October 24.
Sisters Brooke, Sam and Mollie have already conquered Australia and are now targeting the U.S. On August 23, The McClymonts released their album,Wrapped Up Good, in The States. The same album, produced by Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift’s producer) and Adam Anders (Executive Music Producer for Fox TV’s Glee,) was the #5 country album for 2010 in their homeland, outselling the releases from country stars Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Alan Jackson. In addition, for the last four years, they have won Best Group at the Country Music Awards of Australia and Best Country Album for 2008 and 2010 at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. In 2010, The McClymonts opened for country music sensation Jason Aldean on his fall tour and worked with Lady Antebellum and even rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. Just this past month, they made their Grand Ole Opry debut and were immediately invited back to play a few weeks later.
The U.S. press is also starting to take notice. The girls were listed on USA Today’s “Playlist” as a pick of the week and critic John Shelton Ivany named their album as “One of the best albums of the year.” Don Chance of Scripps Howard News Service commented “Their new album, Wrapped Up Good, seems poised to put sisters Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont on top of the U.S. charts as well as the Aussie charts….welcome to the big time!” The album seems to be on its way there. Their current single, “Wrapped Up Good,” just broke into the Top 40s this week on the Music Row chart and is currently positioned at #38. The video for the single can be seen nationally on GAC, CMT Pure, and TCN. Just this past week, the girls also shared their single with visits to local Nashville outlets, Music Row and Country Weekly.
