The news comes only two days after learning that Thompson Square had earned a SPRINT “New Artist of the Year” nomination at the 2011 American Music Awards. “Our manager came into the room and cleared everyone out so that he could talk to us privately,” says Shawna. “We’d never seen him so serious before and we were kind of worried. Then he gave us the great news and we couldn’t believe it. Seven ACA nominations on top of our AMA and CMA nominations…it’s unfathomable…we’re so grateful to everyone that helped get us here.”
“The last year of our lives have been completely surreal,” said Keifer. “We’ve never had a dream come true before. We didn’t know what that felt like until recently.”
