Congratulations to all of the new artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list. An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet and start requesting your favorites now. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Just an FYI if you're wondering why I don't include the major artists on my weekly posts of Mediabase adds: I believe the new guys that's truly struggling deserves the spotlight on these. With major artists such as Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry and others, it's pretty much a given that they're gonna be included on the list if they have a new single, it's harder for the new guys to get added so this is the reason I focus on them instead. Major or new, they all deserve congratulations though!
