CURB RELEASES NEW SINGLE FROM LEE BRICE EXCLUSIVELY ON iTUNES

Current Single, “A Woman Like You” #2 on Billboard
Brice Receives ACM Award for “Song of the Year”

Nashville, Tennessee – (April 3, 2012) – With his current single, “A Woman Like You” sitting just under the chart’s top perch at #2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, Lee Brice is still three weeks away from his much-anticipated second Curb Records album release Hard 2 Love, scheduled to hit retail on April 24. Curb Records is building additional energy around the new album by releasing multiple singles in the weeks to come exclusively on the iTunes store.

The single, “I Drive Your Truck,” is now available for download exclusively on the iTunes Store (iTunes.com/LeeBrice). This heartfelt and passionate delivery from Brice was penned after one of the writers heard an interview with a couple whose son was killed a month after joining the military. The interviewer asked how in the world they dealt with the pain. They said they would drive his truck around and somehow they felt he was there with them and that pulled them through.

Brice commented on discovering this track, “I went around town and listened to a lot of songs, and one of the publishers said, ‘I know you’re looking for some lighter stuff, but I’ve got a song that we feel is the song of the year.’ They played it, and I started losing it in front of everybody. It just killed me. It made me think about my granddaddy, and everybody I’d lost.”

A Woman Like You,” the lead single from the upcoming album has a blazing track record of more than 600,000 digital downloads. In addition, Brice performed an acoustic version of the song when he made his “Today” show debut and co-hosted the fourth hour with Hoda Kotb.

Hard 2 Love follows Brice’s critically-acclaimed debut album Love Like Crazy, which spawned Billboard’s Most Played Country Song of 2010 by virtue of its title track. Billboard remarkably repeated the honor in 2011 with the Brice-penned “Crazy Girl” hitting #1 for Eli Young Band racking up “most played” song numbers in the country genre. On April 1, Brice also picked up the coveted ACM Award for “Song of the Year” for his co-writing duties on the 2011 hit. Notable too in recent Billboard Hot Country Songs chart history, he also penned the only song to debut at #1 on the chart, Garth Brooks’ “More Than A Memory.”

The hit tunesmith behind the chart successes of top caliber fellow artists such as Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, and Tim McGraw, Lee Brice has assembled the best of his creative songwriting and performance efforts for the much anticipated Hard 2 Love package. Leading with “I Drive Your Truck” hitting iTunes on April 3, Curb Records will announce two additional exclusive iTunes digital singles prior to Hard 2 Love reaching retail on April 24.
