KENTUCKY BOYS PAINT THE TOWN BLUE WITH DEBUT LIFESTYLE SINGLE “PORCH PEOPLE” FROM COUNTRY ROCK GROUP BORROWED BLUE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 29, 2012)–Kentucky’s own country rock group Borrowed Blue (Red Buck Entertainment) is set to release its debut single entitled “Porch People” ** as a formal introduction to radio and its listeners on September 18, 2012 (CDX Vol. 553/August 27/Track 10).

Written and produced by guitar slinger/recording artist Eric Heatherly, the single is a lifestyle piece that paints the picture of an all-American past time—a front porch gathering—and offers a musical snapshot of what is to come from Borrowed Blue.

A band of brothers, reigning as self-appointed kings of the Lake Cumberland region, the four member group is made up of childhood friendsMatt Cooper (lead vocals), Brandon Davis(drummer), Jordan Latham (rhythm guitar) and Jay Gregory (on lead electric guitar).

In support of the single release, Borrowed Blue will kick-off the first leg of its radio promotion tour visiting stations in Kentucky and Virginia; the promotions campaign is spearheaded by the GrassRoots Promotion team. The first phase of the“Porch People” radio tour will encompass Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

Making its entry into the country music scene official, Borrowed Blue entertained hundreds during CMA Fest 2012 at various downtown Nashville locations including the Hard Rock Nashville Stage located in the heart of “Fan Fair.”

“We want to create a ‘moment’ with our music and ‘Porch People’ is a sing-a-long song that nearly everyone can relate to, recalling lifetime memories or even making new ones,” said lead singer

Matt Cooper. “We hope it catches on as an all-American anthem.”

To satisfy fan demand, the band made immediate plans to release “Porch People.” Penned by
Eric Heatherly, “Porch People” was written in a single night after Heatherly attended a Borrowed Blue industry showcase at SIR Studios in Nashville, TN. Reflective of the band’s persona, “Porch People”captures the essence that is Borrowed Blue–gritty, southern, down-home rock.

“These Kentucky young guns have a good southern upbringing and as performers can bring on the party and testosterone live—a nice combination for their debut single ‘Porch People’,” producerHeatherly introduced. “When I wrote ‘Porch People,’ I knew it was the right fit for Borrowed Blue. They delivered in the studio and the track came out hotter than machine gun fire! Producing Matt, Brandon, Jordan and Jay was a front porch jam brought to life. In the coming months, you’ll know their name at first sound; this band is on its way.”

As the radio tour concludes, the foursome has plans to enter the studio in late November. In preparation, Borrowed Blue has been co-writing with some of the most respected song crafters including Phillip Douglas (“Kiss This,” “My Blue Angel,” and “The Choice”–Nominated for 2012 CMA “Vocal Event Of The Year”), Bernie Nelson (“Lookin’ For America”/Mark Wills, “Damn Baby”/Montgomery Gentry, “Betty’s Got A Bass Boat”/Pam Tillis) and Kim Tribble (who has cuts by Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry, David Lee Murphy and more.)

Support from colleagues and the industry alike has been encouraging, many reflecting the similar sentiment of award-winning songwriter Bernie Nelson who stated "[Borrowed Blue] is one of the best new original sounds I've heard in awhile. No copycat wannabe's here, just hard country edgy talent."
