I just wanna start this off by saying I am so glad Steve chose this song to be the next single from his "Love Don't Run" cd. This song has been one of my favorites from the start and with the right promotion and support, has the potential to skyrocket straight to the top spot on the charts.
No one can project their personality through a song better than Steve Holy and this song shows off his playful, humorous side, much like "Brand New Girlfriend" did a few years ago.
The single is quickly gaining attention on nationwide reporting stations and non-reporting stations alike and fans are demanding more and more airplay. He's debuted at #60 on the BDS radio airplay charts, #64 on the MediaBase charts and just made it's debut on the Music Row Country Breakthrough Chart at #77 and it's only gonna go up from there so all of those stations who haven't jumped on board this train better get your ticket now because it's about to leave the station in a hurry. It's already a fan favorite on KRTY in San Jose, in one week debuting at #9 on their "Hot 9 at 9" nightly countdown on August 23, 2012 and hitting #1 by the start of the second week. The single remained in the countdown consistently every weeknight until November 23, 2012, staying in the top 3 most of that time. His fans are out to prove that his music should be getting all the recognition it deserves and they're not going to stop until it gets there. The song is unique in the fact that it doesn't sound "manufactured", this song sounds like a song two friends wrote over a late night shot of Jack and good conversation. It's a fun, bold, good natured tribute to the nature of today's aggressive woman, the one who knows what she wants and doesn't wait around for the man to make the first move. The song delivers a "pucker punch" to the confidence of most women that hear it, giving them that nudge they need to haul off and make things happen. Being one of those aggressive women, I applaud this song and Steve for seeing the potential in it and choosing to release it.
In my opinion, this song earns 5 of out 5 puckers. Request this one on your local stations and let them know you want them to play this song. You can purchase "Hauled Off and Kissed Me" on iTunes and Amazon.
Score: 5 out of 5
