NASHVILLE, TN – (September 7, 2012) – Fresh off the road from opening for Dierks Bentley on his Back To College Tour, new progressive country/rock trio The Cadillac Black are headed straight back out on tour to open for musical legend ZZ Top, along with Southern rock great Lynyrd Skynyrd. The nationwide tour kicks off tonight, Friday (9/7) in Scarborough, ME, at Scarbourough Downs and wraps on Sunday, (9/16) in Kodak, TN at Smokies Stadium. The tour will be stopping next week in New York City to play the famed Beacon Theatre on Wednesday, (9/12).

When asked by The Examiner about touring with both ZZ top and Dierks Bentley, lead vocalist and guitarist Jaren Johnston shared, “What we've tried to do with The Cadillac Black is create a sound that morphs everything we love (country/ southern rock/ heavy blues) into one big party for the ears! We've kept that same mindset with touring. We have been very blessed to get to tour with everyone from rock and roll legends ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd to country stars Eric Church and Dierks Bentley. As you can imagine, those stages are quite different from each other, but honestly we feel right at home on both. Especially because all of the fans are there to get rowdy, booze it up and hear some great music! We play the same exact set no matter who we are playing with, we just do what we do.”

The Cadillac Black have emerged with a sound all of their own, a sound that hovers between radio-ready country anthems, hard-and-heavy rock and traditional Southern folk. Their unique “country fuzz” sound has made them one of the most sought after touring bands and garnered the attention of headlining acts; Eric Church, Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top.

TCB’s debut single, “Get Your Buzz On,” will be hitting the country radio airwaves later this month. The song is from their self-titled and self-released debut album, now available at all digital retailers.

While The Cadillac Black might be a brand new band, native Nashvillians Jaren Johnston (guitar), Neil Mason (drums) and Kelby Ray (lap steel) have been friends and musical co-conspirators for as long as anyone can remember. They've weathered their wild teenage years and even wilder tours, weathered major label letdowns and major league triumphs, conquered Music Row – Johnston co-wrote Keith Urban's #1 single “You Gonna Fly,” and earned a nomination for Music Row Magazine’s 2012 Breakthrough Songwriter Of The Year. Their music has been featured on the CW’s Vampire Diaries and Hart of Dixie, CBS’ CSI Miami, VH1’s Baseball Wives, MTV's Wake Brothers and the 2011 trailer for FOX's House.
