THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO KELLIE PICKLER DRUMMER/FRIEND, GREGG LOHMAN AND FAMILY

Sometimes something happens that changes your entire life in a split second. Sadly, this past weekend, that's what happened to Gregg Lohman, drummer and longtime friend of Kellie Pickler. Lohmann was involved in a multi-car crash in Kentucky that has left him comatose at the University of Louisville hospital. The news has deeply affected many in the industry and has become a social media prayer request from family, friends and strangers who have heard the news on Saturday. The love and wishes have been pouring from the hearts of friends and fans across the country music world.

Below are just a few of the tweets that have gone out from country artists and fans:

Gregg Lohman was one of five victims left hospitalized from two wrecks that occured within a few minutes of each other at the same location on I-65. The wrecks also killed six others.

Kentucky State Police released a statement saying that Lohman is injured with head and neck injuries after four vehicles collided on I-65 South. The accident that involved Lohman occurred shortly after a fiery wreck of an SUV and tractor-trailer truck on I-65 North.

Kellie Pickler expressed heartfelt sentiment on her Facebook and Twitter, speaking out about the accident and asking for prayers. Kellie said Lohman wasn't just a drummer, but family and that she "believes in the miracles and the power of prayer", that it would "mean the world" to her, her band, and Gregg's family if they would keep him in their prayers.

The stretch of I-65 was closed for approximately 5 hours following the accidents.
