2STEEL GIRLS TO PERFORM ON NBC’S TODAY SHOW ON FRIDAY, MAY 10

Mother/Daughter Duo From Season Three of NBC’s The Voice (Team Blake) To Debut Their First Single “Train Wreck”

NASHVILLE, TN - May 6, 2013 - Allison and Krystal Steel, the mother/daughter duo 2Steel Girls, will be celebrating Mother’s Day a little early when the independent singer/songwriters get the opportunity of a lifetime to debut their first single “Train Wreck” on NBC’s TODAY on Friday, May 10. Allison co-wrote “Train Wreck” with hit songwriter Bridgette Tatum (Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country”).

The country/rock duo, who Rolling Stone claims “their voices are gorgeous together,” has created and continues to build an extremely loyal and supportive fan base from their memorable time on NBC’s The Voice to their performances on Hallmark Channel’s popular “Home and Family” show to singing on CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton’s recent Christmas album. They have garnered over one million video views on YouTube and continue to tour. 2Steel Girls’ fans have been so supportive and active that the producers of TODAY, who have named them a ‘country favorite,’ called 2Steel Girls and invited them to debut their new single. Their fans stepped up again by donating above and beyond to Allison and Krystal’s Kickstarter campaign to partially fund the making of their debut album.

“We are extremely excited to be on the Today Show!” said daughter Krystal Steel. “We never imagined something like this was possible for us right now in our career. It's not often that an unsigned artist gets such a wonderful opportunity.”

“We can not thank each and every one of our fans enough for their continuing support in all that we do,” added Allison. “We are blown away by their commitment, encouragement and unwavering support in help making our dreams come true.”

The Columbia, TN duo who MTV calls a “force to be reckoned with” was discovered when NBC talent scouts discovered a 2Steel Girls performance online in 2011 and were invited to do a private audition for The Voice. They eventually made it through over 45,000 of other contestants and found themselves as contestants on “Team Blake.” Since their season of The Voice ended in December 2012, the duo has been writing and recording new music for their debut album which is expected for an early summer release.

2Steel Girls are as solid and proven as the family ties that bind them. Some of music’s biggest superstars have weighed in saying:

“It’s power, like a freight train of angry, jilted women.” - Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine

“[2Steel Girls] singing is just so unbelievable.” and “I’ve got a really good feeling about [2 Steel Girls]!” - CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton
