STEVE WARINER TO PERFORM MUSIC, DISCUSS ART, AND MEET FANS AT CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Sixteen Wariner Paintings to be Displayed in AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X All Four Days of CMA Music Festival


NASHVILLE – Monday, June 3, 2013 – Four-time CMA and GRAMMY Award winner Steve Wariner will perform or participate in the following activities during the 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville this week (June 6-9).

On Thursday, June 6, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, Wariner will perform at the Fifth Annual Guitars of the Stars Benefit Auction benefitting the Opry Trust Fund, which assists members of the country music community in need.  The event takes place on the CMA Music Festival Buckle Stage at 4th Avenue and Broadway.  The event, which is hosted by radio and TV personality Bill Cody, will also feature a performance from Jonathan Jackson from ABC-TV’s “Nashville” and an auction of one-of-a-kind guitars both inspired and autographed by country favorites including Alabama, Lauren Alaina, Alan Jackson, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, as well as members of the cast of “Nashville.”  For more information, visit http://www.opry.com/cmafest/.

On Friday, June 7, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Wariner will meet fans and sign autographs from the CMA Booth on the floor of the AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X in the Music City Center. 

On Saturday, June 8, from 11:15 - 11:45 AM, Wariner, who is an acclaimed painter, will participate in a special session geared for children of all ages on the Keep the Music Playing Stage in the AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X in the Music City Center, hosted by WSM AM and GAC host and Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody. Wariner will talk about the intersection of being a performer and a visual artist, while also demonstrating his skills at painting. He will discuss how he first discovered his love for painting, how he continues to develop his artistic talents, and answer questions from the audience. Members of the Tennessee Art League will also be on hand to help kids express themselves through music and art.

Throughout the four days of CMA Music Festival, sixteen of Wariner’s paintings in pen and ink, watercolor, encaustic, and acrylic and his 1966 Corvette will be on display in the Fan Fair X Vault on the floor of the AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X.

On Sunday, June 9, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM – Wariner will perform and sign autographs in the HGTV Lodge in Fan Alley. There are a limited number of free tickets for this event.
