George Ducas’ single “All Kinds Of Crazy” is nothing short of wonderful. It’s more guitar-focused than I am used to, but I’m okay with that. It’s a “Nothing’s right without you here” kind of song, about a girl that he wants back. It’s driving him “All kinds of crazy” not having her there. It's an upbeat song, definitely not a slow sit here and mourn what I’ve lost song. I’d say it’s more of a call to action , a “need you back and need you back now" song. Take a minute, let his voice just wash over you. It’s simply striking. George’s intensity in this song is one of the things I love about country music. You can tell he’s either lived this story or is relating to it strongly. The storytelling aspect of music in general and country music in particular has always amazed me, and this time is no different. George’s ability to make you feel that you’re actually experiencing this story and this intensity is nothing short of amazing.
This is by no means George’s first single, he’s been a fairly prolific artist since the 90’s with hits like "Lipstick Promises" and "Everytime She Passes By" as well as multiple hits he's written for artists like Sara Evans, Garth Brooks, Eli Young Band and many other top artists, but’s the first time I’ve heard him and honestly, I’m not sure how I slept on this one, but I’m so glad to hear him now! George is Texas country and you can definitely hear it in his music. Just like the King of Country music of the same first name and home state, I hope this George has a long and storied career as an artist as well as a songwriter.
