10 Tracks Co-written By TAPS Military Families And Notable Songwriters
Proceeds To Benefit TAPS And Its Families

Roots & American Music Society (RAMS), a not-for-profit record label based in Memphis, Tennessee, has teamed with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) to orchestrate and create a meaningful recording project titled LOVE LIVES ON.

The combined creative endeavor aligned TAPS military families, who have endured the loss of a loved one, with some of the music industry’s most gifted and renowned songwriters to pen the family members’ intimate and personal stories in music and song.

Featuring special guest vocal performances by award-winning recording artists Vince Gill, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Rich, All-4-One, Lonestar, Gatlin Brothers and more, complemented by A-list studio and touring musicianship [including Vinnie Colaiuta, Eric Darken, Dann Huff,  David Hungate (Toto) and David Pack (Ambrosia) among many others], the 10-track collaboration will be available via all major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/Pandora/Spotify/Tidal) on Friday, May 22, 2020.*

The LOVE LIVES ON pre-sale event begins Friday, April 3, 2020.

Produced by Frank Myers (Richie McDonald/Kenny Loggins/Michael Burrows/Eddy Raven/Andy Griggs) and Jimmy Nichols (Reba/Faith Hill/Andy Griggs/Mindy McCready), the inspiration behind the project was spawned by TAPS Founder and President, Bonnie Carroll who lost her husband, Brig. Gen. Thomas C. Carroll, a lifelong Alaskan and commander of the Alaska Army National Guard, in a military plane crash along with seven other soldiers. The embracing musical dedication offers intimate insight from the survivors’ perspective, life experiences and their courageous journey to live on.

The title track, “Love Lives On,” slated for a March 20, 2020 digital and streaming release, is signatured by Richie McDonald (Lonestar), who performs lead vocals, with a special appearance by Grammy®-winning artist Vince Gill. Symbolic of the entire project, the tune shares hope as a “light at the end of the tunnel” for those who carry the burden of grief.

Other tracks are as similarly touching and emotional. The tune “K9 Brother” (performed by Andy Griggs) recalls the relation, dedication and loyalty between two heroic soldiers, “Joshua 1:9” (Dave Fenley) and “People Need To Know” (The Gatlin Brothers/Paul Overstreet) depict fun-loving, youthful and brave character; while the tunes “Isn’t It Amazing” (All-4-One) and “New Set Of Wings” (Pam Tillis) offer an uplifting, spiritual sentiment heightened by spine-chilling harmonies.

“The entire project…with these incredible artists, gifted songwriters and beautiful families, is our chance to tell the story of service and sacrifice in our military, and among our military families,” said Bonnie Carroll, TAPS Founder and President. “I am so very proud of, and grateful for, all those who offered their hand, talent and heart to bring it to life.”

“My very first performance for TAPS was one of the most moving and rewarding experiences of my career; I immediately felt compelled to share the organization's passion,” added co-producer Jimmy Nichols. “My hope is that this project helps make that happen—that the TAPS' mission is on the minds, lips and in the hearts of folks across the country. For all those we’ve lost, and for those who have suffered for our freedom, we dedicate this magical musical tribute to you."

“Our hope with LOVE LIVES ON was to create a meaningful avenue to share the stories of military heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice as seen through the eyes of the beautiful people who knew them well--their families and battle buddies,” said Steve Dunavant, Roots & American Music Society. “What we experienced in making this album was spiritual, humbling and life-changing. These 10 inspirational songs truly capture the passion of our encounter, the intimacy and courage of the TAPS family members, and are a testament to the aspirational message that ‘love lives on.’  When you hear them, we believe you will feel the same way.”

HALEY & MICHAELS ANNOUNCE "HAIL MARY" ALBUM RELEASE AND MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL HALFTIME PERFORMANCE

Pre-order "Hail Mary" Here

Country music’s hottest new husband-wife duo, Haley & Michaels (Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels), grew up just 3 miles apart from each other in California’s ‘Niners’ territory as burgeoning singer/songwriters, yet they did not meet until both had relocated to Nashville in 2014. So, it’s only fitting the duo return to their roots in more ways than one with their debut album Hail Mary.

The duo co-wrote all 12-tracks on their upcoming album, set for release on Oct. 4 on Sony/ATV’s label imprint Hickory Records/RED Music.

“Every moment we haven’t been on the road, we’ve spent recording, mixing and mastering these songs until they felt the way we envisioned the day we wrote them,” shares Haley & Michaels’ Shannon Haley. “So, to watch these songs take on a whole new context in a movie such as Netflix’s Walk. Ride. Rodeo. and beyond with the NFL tapping the single for Monday Night Football, is really wilder than any dreams we could have had as a duo or as singer/songwriters.”

Earlier this year the duo learned the album’s title track and lead single, “Hail Mary,” had been chosen by the San Francisco 49ers for their 2019-2020 season. Furthermore, the duo filmed its music video for the song, directed by the team’s VP/executive producer Rob Alberino and produced by the 49ers, in the stadium of their hometown team. Haley adds, “It’s where we each learned the meaning of teamwork and it’s not just an energizing source for us as football fans…performing here as artists and working with the team is actually living out our dreams!”

“We’re releasing a body of work we’ve spent our whole career creating,” adds Michaels. “This album has everything from the first song we ever wrote together to brand new music nobody has ever heard.” He continues, “Since we wrote our wedding song ‘Giving It All (To You),’ we’ve performed everywhere from 'The Today Show' and The Grand Ole Opry to Waffle House and now Levi’s Stadium. We’ve really gotten to live so much of this unique and incredible life together. And since we wrote ‘Hail Mary,’ we’ve spent the past year traveling and performing our music. We’re so excited that we are finally ready to release our first full-length album and celebrate those moments with the fans and share the music with them.”

The duo’s recent organic success with “Hail Mary” sparked interest from more than just Sony/ATV and country radio. “Working on high-level productions like the shoot that occurred at Levi’s Stadium is something our production team looks forward to,” explains the 49er’s Alberino. “Anytime you can turn a world-class venue into a stage while a band like Haley & Michaels puts on a show, the final piece is amazing and that’s exactly what happened.”

To date, 45 radio stations have played “Hail Mary,” and the song has been featured on some of Spotify’s most premier playlists, landing the duo opening performances for Jason Aldean at Country Stampede as well as ACM Awards’ Party for a Cause.

JOEL CROUSE RELEASES DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM EVEN THE RIVER RUNS TODAY – 8/19

Available Now On iTunes, Google Play and Amazon

Talented Newcomer Celebrates with Live Performance at the Grand Ole Opry

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, TN – (August 19, 2014) – One of country music’s freshest faces, Joel Crouse is excited to announce the release of his debut studio album, EVEN THE RIVER RUNS today 8/19. EVEN THE RIVER RUNS highlights Crouse’s undeniable talent and craft for storytelling and is available for purchase on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.

Produced by Jamie Houston, the Show Dog - Universal Music project includes lead single, “Don’t Tell Me,” which hit SiriusXM’s The Highway and was recently featured in the CW’s smash TV show Hart of Dixie.

EVEN THE RIVER RUNS is the story of Crouse’s personal journey – his joy, his struggles, his romances (for better or for worse).

“My songs will always be about honest experience,” said Crouse, who co-wrote each one of the ten tracks on the album. “I always want to be the one telling my story.”

Crouse collaborated with some of Nashville’s sought after tunesmiths to bring his story to life, including Craig Wiseman, James Dean Hicks, Luke Laird, and many others.

The new project spans the gamut of Crouse's musical lexicon, from thumping, honky-tonk barn-burners like "Don't Tell Me,” to the Top 35 breakout bluesy-twang romper, "If You Want Some" or Crouse's personal favorite, "Ruby Puts Her Red Dress On." Others, like the mid-tempo groove of "You Could Break A Heart Like That" showcase his own vulnerable side – and his vocal range, which can go from sultry lows to a stunning falsetto in one fell swoop.

Fan-favorite "Why God Made Love Songs," is the perfect grooving, clapping ode to summertime love, and on moments like the title track, "Even The River Runs," all of his sides – vintage rock, modern country and dusty blues – come together in one perfect, rollicking ride that puts his guitar chops on full display.

Crouse will be celebrating the release of his new album with a live performance and autograph signing at the Grand Ole Opry tonight. Fans can join Crouse backstage at the Opry with a live YouTube chat kicking off at 8p.m.CT. To join in on the live chat, click HERE.

The Massachusetts native and 22-year old phenom has come a long way from playing Nashville's Lower Broadway - the street corners, to be exact, to making his debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage. He has opened for some of country music’s biggest stars, including 16 dates on Taylor Swift’s RED Tour, The Band Perry, Toby Keith, Darius Rucker, Sara Evans, and even the Goo Goo Dolls.

Watch for more to come from this talented newcomer, who will be joining Love And Theft on the Night That You’ll Never Forget Tour, which kicks off in October.

EVEN THE RIVER RUNS is available for purchase on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.

ACCLAIMED SINGER/SONGWRITER BRIGITTE DeMEYER TO RELEASE 'SAVANNAH ROAD' APRIL 29

PRESS RELEASE

Brigette DeMeyer is a storyteller. She is the blues personified. Each lyric drips with emotion, curiosity and imagination.

The acclaimed singer/songwriter is now ready to share a new batch of stories--inspired by the inimitable spirit of the South--with the release her new album SAVANNAH ROAD, out Tuesday, April 29 on indie label BDM Music, with distribution by The Royal Potato Family/RED Distribution. The 13 songs on SAVANNAH ROAD reel you in after the first note, and then there’s the immediately alluring sound of Brigette’s voice--smooth, soulful and warm. SAVANNAH ROAD is raw, stripped down and the lyrics read like a novel about life, love, yearning and mystery.

Savannah Road is probably closest to the sound I've been looking for my whole life,” explains Brigettte of her sixth album. “It came about organically. It wasn’t forced. It is stripped down and spare. You can hear my voice better, and in turn, the lyrics and stories better. It's more intimate. More pure.”

Brigette recorded the majority of the album in her own home studio and, for the first time in her career, she self-produced the collection as well. Longtime friend and previous producer Brady Blade lent drums and percussion to various tracks, as well as his highly regarded opinion. “He basically stayed at my house, and gave me feedback when I asked for it,” shares Brigette. “He's great because he's not afraid of anything musically. It rubs off…makes you feel like you can do anything. I love that about Brady. He's my brother. I'm his sister.” Brigette also brought in acclaimed engineer David Z (Prince, Etta James, Johnny Lang) and assistant engineer Sean Sullivan to help elevate the production.

Besides her environment influencing the sound on SAVANNAH ROAD, her frequent collaborator and songwriting partner Will Kimbrough plays a part in what makes Brigette’s music erupt with its soul and truth. “Will and I have strong musical chemistry; I discovered that on my first recording project with him,” Brigettte shares. “I could describe a sound I wanted and he'd play it. We’ve been writing together now for over two years. There's a comfort level that's grown with Will that's essential to good songwriting for me. We have a connection. We anticipate what the other is going to do and play off it. It’s hard to describe a vibe between folks, but, in a nutshell, we click.”

“There’s something sparkly about each song,” Brigette says about the story told by SAVANNAH ROAD. The title track is inspired by Gregg Allman’s book My Cross to Bear. The celebrated musician’s biography was Brigette’s companion and took her in all these different, musical and emotional directions. It helped her feel connected to him, Georgia, the South, and in the process, connected to herself. “Boy’s Got Soul” is a beautiful anecdote about finding someone who possesses or moves you unexpectedly, in which she uses the term “scrapyard lullabies” (a Chris Whitley reference) over smooth, yet haunting guitar strums. “Home Ground” is a poignant, soulful adventure about finding that special place where you can be free. However, it’s “Build Me A Fire” where Brigitte’s storytelling mastery really comes to life. It’s a personal story, an ode her to the hardships her mother had to overcome during the Second World War. SAVANNAH ROAD is teeming with elements of melancholy, longing, and most of all, each track brings its own little piece of the South.

The Southern California-native relocated to Nashville a few years ago and draws inspiration from her surroundings. “There’s a spirit here, a vibe in the air that gets absorbed, goes into the music,” she explains. “Something about the South, for me. And, an arsenal of amazing musicians to draw from. It's a combo of culture, history good and bad, intense weather, mother nature rules here…I don't know. Maybe it's being a little uncomfortable or on edge…it spurns good songs. You gotta get it out. You also have to rise to the level of musicianship here. There is no greater music city.”

That said, she is looking forward to hitting the road and performing her new songs for live audiences. “I'll do mostly new songs, and pull favorites and some obscure depending on the room, the audience, and my mood of course!” Confirmed tour dates are below and more will be added soon.

RHONDA VINCENT SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM 'ONLY ME' THIS WEEK

Vincent duets with Willie Nelson on new project; set to appear on Today Show on February 1 & 2

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 27, 2014) – Rhonda Vincent – the fiery vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter dubbed “the new queen of bluegrass” by the Wall Street Journal – is set to release her new two-disc album Only Me on January 28, 2014. In addition to receiving an unprecedented seven consecutive “Female Vocalist of the Year” awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), being named IBMA’s 2001 “Entertainer of the Year,” and being the co-author of the 2004 IBMA “Song of the Year,” Vincent was nominated for a 2006 Grammy® award for “Best Bluegrass Album” for Ragin’ Live, as well as a double nomination in 2007 for “Best Bluegrass Album” for All American Bluegrass Girl, along with “Best Country Collaboration with Vocals” for Midnight Angel featuring Bobby Osborne.

Since her debut, Rhonda has met with increasing acclaim for her dynamic, infectious take on bluegrass. Her gift for balancing classic bluegrass sounds with subtle contemporary touches is featured throughout music. Gleaming with hope, resilience, and gratitude, Rhonda presents a set of songs that range from timelessly straight-ahead bluegrass to classic country. OAK RIDGE BOYS INK DEAL WITH CLEOPATRA RECORDS TO RELEASE FIRST EVER LIVE COUNTRY ALBUM

PRESS RELEASE

LOS ANGELES, CA. (January 24, 2014) – With a legacy that stretches across 6 decades, encompasses more than 41 million albums sold, and includes numerous iconic hit singles such as “Elvira,” “American Made,” and “Y’all Come Back Saloon,” it’s no wonder that The Oak Ridge Boys are one of the most popular live acts on the circuit today, packing fans in by the thousands and tens of thousands wherever they perform. What is surprising is that the Boys, renowned for their great live shows, have never released a full length, official hits concert album - that is, until now! Cleopatra Records will release Boys Night Out on April 15th, in three formats - CD, vinyl, and digital download - finally giving ORB fans the experience of the group’s well-polished live performance for them to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

To be sure, Oak Ridge Boys fans have been clamoring for a live album of hits for several years now, but as the band explained, “For some reason or another, the time never seemed right.” Then, in early 2013, lead vocalist and producer Duane Allen saw the stars align as the band was able to get its hands on some top quality remote recording equipment, and promptly began capturing performances of their current show dubbed “Boys Night Out.” Night after night, The Oak Ridge Boys wowed audiences across the nation with a set list that packed all of the group’s hit singles and fan favorites into one magnificent celebration. Years of preparation have made such well-loved songs as “You’re The One,” “Thank God For Kids,” and the brilliant “Bobbie Sue” sound even more exhilarating than when they were originally recorded! It might not be quite the same as being there, but it’s thrillingly close!

1. You’re The One
2. American Made
3. (I’m Settin’) Fancy Free
4. Love Song
5. Y’all Come Back Saloon

JO DEE MESSINA ANNOUNCES ALBUM RELEASE DATE FOR "ME" - TUESDAY, MARCH 18

THE FIERCELY INDEPENDENT COUNTRY SINGER/SONGWRITER’S KICKSTARTER FUNDED PROJECT IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ONE TO COME OUT OF NASHVILLE

MUCH ANTICIPATED FULL-LENGTH MARKS JO DEE’s MOST PERSONAL ALBUM TO DATE AND WILL BE RELEASED ON HER OWN DREAMBOUND RECORDS

JO DEE MESSINA fans will soon get what they’ve been clamoring for as the multi-platinum, award-winning country singer/songwriter has just announced that her new full-length album will be released Tuesday, March 18. With its title ME chosen by fans, the album marks Jo Dee's’s most personal album to date as she wrote or co-wrote many of the songs and will release it on her own newly established label, Dreambound Records, with distribution by eOne Music. For the first time in her career, Jo Dee is able to boldly do things her own way and pave her own path to success.

Spring 2013 found the fiercely independent, outspoken, and driven artist free from a long-term record deal. Jo Dee became free to make the album she wanted, so the forward-thinking country star took to the crowd-funding website Kickstarter.com to create a new full-length album for her fans, with her fans. The “My time. Our music.” campaign allowed her backers to be involved with every step that goes into creating and recording the album, and opportunities to be rewarded with exclusive content and one-of-a-kind opportunities.

Throughout the process, her fans helped Jo Dee surpass her $100,000 goal, making her Kickstarter.com campaign the most successful one to come out of Nashville and at the time of completion, the 15th largest funded music campaign in Kickstarter history. The fans were given a voice. Via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Stage-It, her fans selected which songs would be included on the album, submitted artwork for her label logo, selected the album title ME and chose the album’s first single “Peace Sign.” Check out a lyric video for the song here: http://youtu.be/TqllF4aZkuo.

Following her departure from her record label, Jo Dee began reflecting and started putting pen to paper. The feisty song “Not Dead Yet” was born. “I had been listening to the naysayers around me and thought, ‘I have so much to offer now that I'm free of the restraints I had with my label.’ I then had a conversation with my friend and co-writer saying, ‘I have so much left to do, so much left to say. Goodness! I'm not dead yet!’ And that is how the song was born. It talks about how if I listened to the small thinkers and naysayers, I might as well throw in the towel. Music is my life, it's a part of who I am. I'm not ready to give up that part of my life. Hell, I'm just getting started!”
The wife and mother of two young sons road tested a few of the new tracks, and a crowd favorite at every show is “A Woman’s Rant.” “This song had many more verses,” laughs Messina. “It was written in a few minutes. My youngest baby wouldn't sleep longer than two hours. One night I was sick and could barely move so I tried to wake up my husband to get the baby, but I couldn't get him to budge. After feeding the baby, burping him, changing him, I was wide awake. That's when I went downstairs and wrote ‘A Woman’s Rant.’ It's literally a day in the life of me. Ha!” She performed the song on “The Today Show” this past summer: http://www.today.com/video/today/52082917.

Jo Dee has always maintained an honest and personal relationship with her fans. Me also allows the public to see and identify with her vulnerable side and insecurities. “The fans chose ME as the album title. I think it fits because this record explores many different sides of who I am. The song came about through a conversation with one of my co-writers, Kathie Baillie of Baillie & The Boys, who has a grown daughter. I was feeling the stress of trying to be everything to everyone and asked her how she did it. There is a part of me that thinks when I look in the mirror, I should see Wonder Woman. When I see me, it terrifies me. Can I really pull off all the things I have to be to so many? I don't know. We'll see. This song gives folks a peek at the vulnerable side of me which isn't shown that often.”

Overall, ME is a journey. It’s honest. It’s funny. It’s sad. It’s life. At this point in her life, she isn’t afraid. She’s a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend and an incredibly gifted vocalist and songwriter who is thankful for all she’s accomplished and looking forward to all that awaits her.
“This album is truly for you, the people who appreciate the creative process, as well as my amazing fans,” exclaims Jo Dee. “There’s no question, I wouldn’t be where I am today without your love and support. You’ve been with me since the beginning. This album is a fresh start for me, and I want us to go on this exciting journey together.”

NORTH 40 SCHEDULES DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE

NORTH 40 TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM
"Sing Your Own Song" to Hit Stores Digitally January 28, 2014

(Nashville, Tennessee...) - - Rhymetown Entertainment duo North 40, comprised of singer/songwriters Paige Logan and Heather Looney, had a breakthrough hit with their debut single and video, "Hey Girl Hey," and now the label has set January 28, 2014 as the release date for their Sing Your Own
Song CD. Heather and Paige wrote or co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, which was produced by hit producer/songwriter/musician Leigh Reynolds and Grammy Award-winning engineer Mills Logan.

The songs on Sing Your Own Song run the gamut of emotion and the album, "is a vivid expression of what we have seen, tasted and touched throughout our lifetime," said Heather. "It has become a light for us that shines hope, encouragement and an element of truth along the way. Living life to the fullest...This is what North 40 is all about."

Seven of the 13 cuts were written by Heather and Paige, and they partnered with some of Nashville's top tunesmiths such as Jennifer Denmark, Dave Brainard, Adam Mitchell, Leigh Reynolds and Amber Rose on the remaining. The result is a collection of songs melded together and finely tuned for their fans to enjoy, remember, reflect and contemplate stirring up some dust of their own.

The female anthem "Hey Girl Hey" has received incredible feedback from Country radio, fans and the music industry. Noted music journalist Robert K. Oermann wrote "...among the many unknowns I listened to today, they (North 40) were my favorites. Give 'em a Discovery Award" in MusicRow Magazine. Brian Stayton, of WIKQ-FM in Greeneville, Tennessee wrote: "'Hey Girl Hey' became our most requested song of the week--  AND it's only Tuesday!"

Award-winning director Kristin Barlowe shot the exciting "Hey Girl Hey" video at local Nashville hotspot Canvas, and Roger Pistole handled director of photography duties. It originally premiered on the popular YALLWIRE.com and has received significant national airplay.

"As we continue to broaden our listening audience, we want all to know that we truly believe that life begins at North 40 and it's never too late to be what you might have been," said Paige, summing up the North 40 message. "One thing is certain, if you're too afraid to make that first step, you will never get to where you want to be. We want everyone to kick up some dust in their own North 40!"

Paige and Heather will be making a series of media appearances the week of release, as they take their music and their "Life Begins at North 40" brand to a national audience. Sing Your Own Song will be available at iTunes, Amazon and virtually all other digital retailers.
