Chris Hurt
was born in Nashville, and raised there by his mother, a gospel singer , and his father, the legendary singer songwriter Jim Hurt; well known for writing Alabama's “Love In The First Degree”, as well as many others.

Last year Chris entertained audiences nationwide as the lead singer for the newest indie success story, known as “Colt Ford.” Leaving a lasting impression on thousands of people is an experience he won’t soon forget."It was the biggest learning experience of my career and I truly feel like if I hadn't been on that tour I would not be doing what I am today,"

For Chris, growing up in the music business was “tough, but worth it." He managed to come away with the love of a good song, many amazing friends, memorable stories, and a major respect for the songwriter and performer alike.

On any given night you'll find Chris spilling his heart out to a familiar crowd. He loves the drama that unfolds in a song, and is always looking for those moments when a pair of eyes out in the crowd suddenly change and seem touched by what he's doing. "It’s not an easy business by far, but the energy of the crowd and the smiles on their faces make it all worth doing."

Chris' cd, "The Right Road" is available on iTunes.

We've known Chris for over 2 years now. When we introduce people to his music, they are always in awe and wonder why he isn't on all the country radio stations! He has a distinct voice and a way to touch the crowd and get them involved that you rarely see. This guy is talented and on his way to the top!!!
