Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2012) - It’s been a phenomenal year so far for Curb Records recording artist Lee Brice.  This morning, Lee received the news that he is nominated for CMA “New Artist of the Year.”  The nomination comes as Lee is also celebrating the success of his third major hit, “Hard To Love”, which is climbing the charts at #14 and sold an incredible 560,000 units in digital sales. “Hard To Love,” from Brice’s breakthrough album of the same name, is the follow-up single to Brice’s #1 hit, “A Woman Like You,” which is already Platinum having sold over 1.2 million digital downloads.
Known as one of Nashville’s top songwriters for a number of years, today’s CMA nomination is recognition of Lee’s outstanding talent as an artist.  “I can’t even begin to express how good it feels to receive this nomination today,” said Brice. “It’s an honor, especially in the company of these other hard-working artists. I just feel so blessed.”

Mike Curb, Chairman of Curb Records, congratulated Brice on his nomination. “We knew when we signed Lee that he was both an amazing songwriter and a very talented performer. We’re extremely proud that he is on our label.  He deserves this recognition.”

Brice received the news of his CMA nomination this morning immediately after hosting a press conference at CMA headquarters in Nashville to announce the 2012 CMA Broadcast Award Personality and Radio Station of the Year, as well as the finalists for the 2012 CMA National Broadcast Personality of the Year.

The 46th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Thursday, Nov. 1 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.
