Chevrolet will unveil the first 2014 Silverado television ad featuring an original song by Grammy-nominated recording artist Will Hoge. The ad will debut tonight nationwide, during MLB’s Chevy Home Run Derby, and tomorrow during MLB’s All-Star Game (7/15 & 16.).
The lyrics to Hoge’s song “Strong” speak about the strength of hardworking, honest and dependable men and women. A tone of American pride is reflected in the campaign by the integration of an original Country song. Both the TV commercial and the “Strong” music video are directed by three-time Academy Award winner Bob Richardson.
The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter is slated to release his next studio album entitled NEVER GIVE IN on October 15, 2013. NEVER GIVE IN is a life motto for Nashville native Will Hoge, who was first introduced to the Country music audience with the release of Eli Young Band’s platinum-selling smash “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” which he co-wrote with Eric Paslay. The song earned Hoge nominations for the 2013 GRAMMY Country Song of the Year, 2013 ACM Song of the Year and 2012 CMA Song of the Year.
Hoge has crisscrossed North America several times, playing as many as 220 shows a year. His stage shows are equal ingredients of sweat, charisma, and rock & roll revival which have landed him coveted opening slots with John Mellencamp, Pistol Annies, Shinedown, Sugarland and ZZ Top. Hoge spent the early part of 2012 supporting Dierks Bentley’s arena headlining tour.
