Here we go, let the annual observance of a new year and what it hopes to hold begin. Start posting your resolutions, your self promises that we know we'll eventually get around to breaking, join the gym you might go to 3 times, start your 3 day diet, lose 5 pounds and gain back 10, and tell yourself you're gonna complain less but find yourself complaining more. The one thing that does stand consistent and doesn't change, is the music that always takes us through year after year, the New Years standards. Here is our list of a few classic and a few newer "ring in the new year" songs ...

Barry Manilow - "It's Just Another New Years Eve"

Dan Fogelberg - "Same Old Lang Syne"

Sugarland - "Maybe Baby (New Years Day)"

Harry Connick, Jr and George Jones - "Nothing New For New Years"

Otis Redding and Carla Thomas - "New Years Resolution"

Judy Garland - "Happy New Year "

Ella Fitzgerald - "What Are You Doing New Years Eve?"

Norah Jones - "Peace"

Merle Haggard - "If We Make It Through December"

Corey Smith - "Maybe Next Year"
