SINGLE REVIEW: "FIVE MORE MINUTES" - SCOTTY MCCREERY

There is a quote by Rob Sheffield that says "When we die, we will turn into songs, and we will hear each other and remember each other." Nothing could sum up the new single, "Five More Minutes" by Scotty McCreery any more perfectly. This song shows a certain maturity not found in many new releases these days and makes an emotional impact that's just as rare. A song is one clearest windows to our memories.

Written by Scotty following his grandfather's passing, this single hits a personal and emotional depth that each of us know all too well - that mental scrapbook of years gone by,  the loved ones that went the years took with them and the memories left behind in the pages of our mind. While we can't bring them back, the power of a song can. The only thing stronger than this is love and this song intertwines the two.

"Five More Minutes" is a song country radio needs to play, one that we all need to take the time to listen to. It's a song that not only tells a story but one that the singer and listener alike have lived. The best songs come from the heart and this song obviously came straight from Scotty's.

Let your local stations know that this song deserves airplay. Don't just request it, let them know why you want to hear it, how it impacts you personally. Purchase the single on most digital music outlets now and be sure to leave a review and let Scotty know what this song means to you.

Thank you Scotty for opening the pages of my own mental scrapbook. * Tissue please *

What a wondeful song and singer! When I watch the video it brings back memories of Christmas past with my mother and father before they went to heaven. And the years do go by fast we have to relish each day and each other. This is what the video means to me.
