"More Than the Music", Heartland's first original series, is set to premiere tomorrow night, January 9, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central; 9:00 p.m. Mountain; 8:00 p.m. Pacific) with its first episode featuring guests Colin Hay and John Paul White. The series’ host, Stacy Newman, caught up with both Hay and White recently at Americana Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.
“It was an absolute treat to sit down with Colin Hay and John Paul White at Americana Fest – both are talented, fascinating singer-songwriters that I had a lot of fun talking to, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch,” said Newman.
"More Than the Music" takes viewers everywhere from Heartland’s own studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to recording studios in Nashville, to popular venues and music festivals across the country. Along the way, the series will feature the musicians who inspire us – both those at the pinnacle of success and those still making their way to the top. More Than the Music combines everything – intimate artist interviews, live performances and some of the artists’ best music videos. More Than the Music will air weekly on Tuesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern/Pacific.
