The Park City Song Summit is designed to redefine the live music experience. The five day event from September 8-12 in Park City, Utah is an antidote to the large-scale, impersonal, singing to the masses music festival. We seek to create an environment where artist and audience not only connect, play, and listen, but engage in conversations around the journey of creating songs and thriving in the modern music industry. Song Summit is not a music festival. But, just because it is not a "festival", doesn’t mean there won’t be live music performances. Bands and artists will play intimate shows, share stories at songwriter in the rounds, busk on the street, flash jam in surprise locations and perform small and big stage concerts.
The Labs program is what makes Song Summit unique. These discussions will dissect, illuminate and interrogate the art and craft of songwriting. Some artists will lead talks on their own, others will work with subject experts including names like: Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Joy Oladokun, Jonathan Russell, Andrew Bird, Alison Mosshart, Rich Roll, Leslie Jordan, Fred Armisen, Shaun White, and more.
In addition to the Labs program, the Song Summit will feature concerts across venues throughout the city including Iron & Wine, Father John Misty, Gary Clark Jr., DJ Logic, Kamasi Washington, Lucius, and Mavis Staples.
Whether you’re going all in for the full Summit experience or looking to attend a single show, Park City Song Summit has you covered!
