Fort Lauderdale, FL – February 26, 2015 – Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival has added legendary rockers Doobie Brothers to its already stellar music line-up joining headliners Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band.  Doobie Brothers’ four-time Grammy Award-winning sound has become part of America’s musical firmament, sampled on dance records, reinterpreted on “American Idol,” and a fixture on radio formats from Top 40 to classic rock. With the release of their new record Southbound, a collaboration with the top country stars of today, including a version of their classic hit “Black Water” featuring Tortuga headliner Zac Brown Band, they are breaking new creative ground in the exploration of their musical connection with Nashville.

The third annual Tortuga Music Festival returns to the sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park in Florida on April 11th and 12th. Tens of thousands of fans are expected to enjoy the sun, songs, sand and surf at this unique oceanfront event.

Already announced to also share the stage with Chesney and Zac Brown Band are: Florida native and “Beachin’” singer Jake Owen, multi-platinum sibling trio The Band Perry, CMA award-winning supergroup Little Big Town, baritone honky-tonk crooner Trace Adkins, ska-punk band Sublime with Rome, “Lay Low” hit-maker Josh Turner, powerhouse vocalist David Nail, South Florida-formed country-rock veterans The Mavericks, genre-bending Colt Ford, “Ready Set Roll” singer Chase Rice, “Leave The Night On” hit-maker Sam Hunt, “Sunshine & Whiskey” chart-topper Frankie Ballard, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Will Hoge, “Take It On Back” singer Chase Bryant, gritty rock quintet Dirty Guv’nahs, grunge-country trio The Cadillac Three, country quintet Old Dominion, envelope-pushing country duo Maddie & Tae, outlaw country singer Nikki Lane, newcomer Brooke Eden, “Lay It On Me” singer Dylan Scott, soulful singer-songwriter Drake White and The Big Fire and folk-bluegrass band Judah & The Lion.

Produced and promoted by HUKA Entertainment, Tortuga Music Festival takes place over two days and across three stages, featuring the hottest artists in country, rock and roots music.  Created together with the Rock the Ocean Foundation, the event serves to celebrate the festival’s oceanfront setting while raising awareness of issues impacting the world’s oceans and supporting marine research and conservation, as well as protect the festival’s namesake – sea turtles that nest annually along South Florida’s Atlantic seaboard.

This year’s festival will once again include a one-of-a-kind Conservation Village on site, which provides audience members with interactive exhibits, information and tools to help protect the world’s oceans.

Last year’s festival drew more than 44,000 music fans from all over the world. Proceeds from 2014’s Tortuga Music Festival ticket sales and donations contributed more than $100,000 toward marine and ocean research and conservation organizations.

Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival is proud to welcome festival partners South Florida Ford and Corona Light.
